Community rules
Kiwi puts you in rooms with strangers. These are the rules for using it, and the tools you have when others don't follow them.
By using Kiwi you agree to
- Treat people with respect. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or doxxing.
- Keep sexual content away from public rooms, and never share sexual content involving anyone under 18. We report that to the authorities.
- No violence, no encouraging self-harm, and nothing illegal where you are.
- No spam, scams, impersonation or repeating the same message to flood a room.
- Don't share anyone's private information without their consent.
Public means public
Public rooms are visible to anyone in them and are carried through relays that other people run. Don't post what you wouldn't say out loud in that place.
How Kiwi is moderated
Kiwi has no accounts and no central servers, so there is no staff reading your rooms. Instead, you decide what you see, on your phone:
- Reading level for each room: Mentions only, Filtered or Everything.
- Mute someone for an hour, a day, a week or a month. Repeated flooding is muted automatically for a growing time.
- Hide or block anyone from their profile or the room's people list. They are not told.
- Inert links: links from strangers show as a chip you must confirm, with warnings for look-alike or shortened addresses.
- Nothing is deleted by these tools; they only change what you see.
Reporting
If you see something illegal or dangerous, mute or block the person. Press and hold their message and choose Report to email us the room, time and text, or write to jb@lot23.com yourself. We will look at every report and, where we can, act on it (for example by passing it to the relay operators or the authorities). We cannot remove posts from public relays ourselves. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
